Cd-Menu
CD-MENU is one of my earlier attempts in programming. I wrote it about 5 years ago. Since I still get e-mails about it once in a while, I’ve put it here for public download.
CD-MENU is supposed to add a comfortable (measured by the standards of five years ago) menu to your self-made CDs. It can be launched via the Windows autorun.inf mechanism.
Once started, a customizable, categorized list of files/programs is presented to the user (see screenshot). Additionally, a simple text viewer can be used to display copyright information of other text.
Features
- Easy handling
- Small size (apx. 500KB)
- Build-in text reader
- Free
CD-MENU requires Windows 95, 98, NT4. More current versions might work but were never tested. The list of files is populated by composing a file called cdmenu.cfg which uses an ini-like syntax.
Here’s my final warning before downloading: Don’t expect too much. Since it’s one of my “earlier creations” it’s probably buggy and most definitely contains some below-average English ;)
